Mother’s Day gifts

8 May

I’m fairly certain my mother-in-law doesn’t read this blog, so I think it’s safe to post these pictures. I was a little behind the game so unfortunately this present will be a few days late. All the better to anticipate, I say.

These are fat quarter bags. They are about the easiest thing to sew, and they really only do take about fifteen minutes. It is basically impossible to screw them up unless you mistakenly sew the wrong sides together.

And who wouldn’t want pictures of such an adorable granddaughter?

My mother’s day present is a self-cleaning litter box that Chris ordered while we were sitting on the couch last night. Also, I got to stay in bed an extra half hour this morning. I probably could have slept in longer, but I got so excited about the outline for my third book that I had to jump up and tell Chris.

Since I also have a plan for my second and fourth book, I figure my career is pretty much settled and I can now focus on more important things, like making a dent in my alarmingly large fabric and yarn stash.

The radio silence this week was because I had to put in some really long days on a couple of articles I’m trying to get sent out before the end of the month. I have a backlog lined up, though, so this week should be back to normal.
